ABOUT OUR COMPANY:

For over 60 years, The ECCO Group has experienced consistent expansion, with our manufacturing sector dominating the sheet metal HVAC market in Western Canada. Our ECCO Supply division offers comprehensive wholesale distribution services for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) supplies and equipment. With sales branches situated in manufacturing and distribution hubs across Western and Central Canada, we are now extending our team into the United States. ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Outside Sales Representative’s role entails engaging in sales activities outside the office, including in-person meetings, email correspondences, phone calls, and virtual interactions with prospective and current clients. They are expected to execute their duties efficiently, demonstrating integrity and professionalism at all times. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to be part of the team at our Sacramento location. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to anticipate future trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategic plans to capitalize on them. DUTIES:

  1. Contacting new customers and developing new, profitable HVAC business.
  2. Cultivate customer relationships to increase customer experience.
  3. Communicate product and market opportunities to Branch leadership in order to maximize customer experience.
  4. Attend and respond to all queries, disputes, etc. promptly.
  5. Provide timely, accurate and competitive pricing via written quotations while striving to maintain maximum profit margin and growing market share.
  6. Maintain electronic records of all sales leads and/or customers while expanding and maintaining a customer database.
  7. Conduct business in a moral and ethical manner.
  8. Forecasting, developing, maintaining and evaluating sales strategies.
  9. Meet personal, branch sales and expense budgets.
  10. Take sales training and product knowledge courses as recommended or as deemed necessary.
  11. Attend industry trade shows approved by ECCO Supply management.
  12. Participate in annual branch physical inventory.
  13. Report and provide continuous market feedback to the inside sales team and management.
  14. Due to the dynamic nature of this Company, the duties and responsibilities may reasonably change from time to time.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  1. 5 years of outside sales experience in the building materials industry or an equivalent combination of two years of HVAC sales, education, training, and experience.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Residential HVAC systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive demeanor and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  3. Ability to prioritize important tasks and meet deadlines.
  4. Work with a high degree of integrity and a sense of urgency.
  5. A current driver’s License and clean driving abstract.
  6. High school diploma or equivalent.
