Job summary

W3Global in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Outside Sales & Estimating Manager with direct outside sales experience in scaffolding and shoring.

You will grow existing customer relationships and develop new business throughout Northeast Florida, combining field sales, site visits, and accurate construction estimating to deliver profitable projects.

The role requires reading plans, coordinating with estimators and operations, and building long-term partnerships with general contractors and owners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction, equipment rental, estimating or outside sales.
• Experience with scaffolding, shoring, formwork, concrete, or rental equipment preferred.
• Reads construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Comfortable visiting active construction sites.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

We are looking for an experienced to help grow our existing customer relationships while developing new business throughout Northeast Florida.

This is a field-oriented construction sales position combining outside sales, customer relationship management, jobsite visits, project estimating and business development.

Summary

The Outside Sales & Estimating Manager will be responsible for identifying construction opportunities, developing relationships with contractors, visiting jobsites, understanding project requirements, preparing estimates and proposals, following up on quotes and helping convert opportunities into profitable projects.

The successful candidate will spend significant time in the field meeting customers, visiting active and prospective construction projects and developing new relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with existing customers
• Develop new contractor and construction-industry accounts throughout Northeast Florida
• Conduct regular customer and jobsite visits
• Prospect general contractors, subcontractors, project managers, estimators and superintendents
• Identify upcoming construction projects requiring scaffolding, shoring or access solutions
• Perform project site walks and gather information required for estimating
• Review project plans, specifications, schedules and scope requirements
• Develop accurate estimates, pricing and customer proposals
• Present proposals and recommended solutions to customers
• Follow up consistently on outstanding estimates and proposals
• Negotiate projects while maintaining company gross-margin objectives
• Maintain an organized pipeline of current and future opportunities
• Coordinate awarded projects with operations, yard and field personnel
• Track lost opportunities and competitive information
• Participate in weekly sales and pipeline meetings
• Develop long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction, equipment rental, construction estimating or outside sales experience preferred
• Experience with scaffolding, shoring, formwork, concrete, equipment rental or commercial construction highly preferred
• Existing relationships within the Northeast Florida construction market are a plus
• Ability to read construction drawings, plans and specifications preferred
• Comfortable visiting active construction sites
• Strong estimating, mathematical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and relationship-building ability
• Self-motivated and comfortable managing a geographic sales territory
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and projects simultaneously
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

The right person will be equally comfortable talking with a superintendent on a jobsite, reviewing project requirements with an estimator and building a relationship with a company owner or executive.
