Job description

Outside Sales and Business Development Representative

Full-time employee or 1099 contract positions available.

Location: Remote + travel.

On Display is actively searching for an outside sales and business development specialist to help grow our sales and expand beyond the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana markets. The ideal candidate should have a few years of experience in outside sales and identifying potential markets for growth in our full-service printing, finishing, and fulfillment services.

Founded in 1997, On Display is a family-owned and operated full-service printing company. We utilize multiple large-format digital printing presses, digital cutting equipment, and print finishing and fulfillment machinery across two full-time shifts. Our comprehensive and state-of-the-art capabilities are supported by a highly trained, experienced, and passionate staff, backed by a management team committed to delivering the best products and customer experience through talent development, teamwork, and respect. We continually update and expand our equipment to broaden our range of capabilities in the printing industry.

Primary Role Overview:

This role involves identifying sales leads, cold calling, visiting target customers, preparing call reports, attending trade shows, and pursuing other sales opportunities. Regular reporting on opportunities, customer projects, and activities to management is required. The position will be fully supported by our customer service and creative teams.

Candidates must interact well with customers, be self-motivated, and have the ability to identify new business opportunities. Prior experience or knowledge of the printing industry is preferred but not required.

Skills Required:

  • Self-motivated with a strong competitive and persistent nature to grow sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers.
  • Experience with lead generation tools like LinkedIn, Dealfront, Leadfeeder, or similar, as well as cold calling.
  • Skills in building sales presentations using PowerPoint or comparable software.
  • Ability to maintain expense and mileage logs accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new sales leads through prospecting and networking.
  • Call on and visit customers regularly to promote and develop new business outside current markets.
  • Assist customers in solving their printing needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Implement focused plans to increase sales volume.
  • Participate in virtual meetings with management to discuss strategy, forecasts, and sales activities.
  • Follow up on customer projects, sample requests, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with sales service and creative teams for quotations and design needs.
  • Travel to meet potential clients and attend networking events.
