Job summary

Central Steel & Wire, part of the Ryerson Family, seeks an Outside Sales Account Manager to maintain and grow our transactional customer base in the metals industry. You will manage accounts, develop relationships with buyers and decision makers, and promote value-added programs to drive revenue.

You will collaborate with internal teams and leverage market insights to shape strategies, pricing, and service offerings, while meeting annual sales targets and maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or related experience.
• 3-5 years of sales experience in metals service center or similar industrial sales.
• Proficiency with MS Office; SAP and Salesforce.com experience desired.
• Strong business acumen with excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills; persuasive negotiation.
• Ability to build strong relationships quickly and work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow revenue from assigned customers; promote value-added services.
• Maintain and expand transactional business with current and past customers.
• Collaborate with inside sales, credit, inventory, and other departments to meet objectives.
• Provide market intelligence to shape sales strategies, pricing, and working capital decisions.
• Manage accounts, implement margin analysis, and support program development.
