Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position is a nationwide market range, reflecting salaries across the country. The actual salary will depend on factors such as role scope, complexity, location, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, and other employment conditions. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentives as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

$48,700.00 - $80,400.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Location requirement: This position services Insureds/Agents in and around Greensboro, NC. The candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the territory at their own expense.

This is an entry-level position requiring successful completion of training to advance to Claim Professional, Outside Property. It involves developing skills in investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving claims of lesser value and complexity. The role includes handling the full claim lifecycle, maintaining compliance with standards and regulations. The position is based 100% remotely, with a mix of mobile and home-based work.

What Will You Do?
  • Complete required training through online, virtual, classroom, and on-the-job methods, which may include travel.
  • Handle 1st party property claims of moderate severity and complexity.
  • Establish accurate damage scopes for building and contents losses, and utilize estimates for claim resolution.
  • Investigate and evaluate relevant facts for coverage, damages, liability, and business interruption.
  • Establish claim and expense reserves accurately and timely.
  • Determine settlement amounts using various estimation tools and validation methods.
  • Negotiate and communicate claim settlements within authority limits.
  • Write denial letters, reservations of rights, and other complex correspondence.
  • Assess damages, manage damages using cost evaluation tools, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain diary systems and manage claim files for timely resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations where applicable.
  • Provide excellent customer service to insureds, agents, and partners.
  • Refer claims to specialized units as needed and handle administrative functions.
  • Assist with claims across multiple lines as required.
  • Attend legal proceedings such as depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
  • Maintain necessary licenses and certifications, including insurance licenses and a valid driver's license.
  • Perform physical inspections of properties, including climbing ladders and entering tight spaces, with safety considerations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or at least two years of relevant work or customer service experience.
  • Ownership attitude and customer-centric approach.
  • Intermediate communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-volume workloads.
  • Basic analytical thinking and judgment skills.
  • Valid passport preferred.
What Is a Must Have?
  • High School Diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience OR Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Valid driver’s license.
