Job summary

Uniti Group is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer I to support planning, analysis, and design of our fiber and copper network infrastructure. This in-office role focuses on engineering projects, coordination with field teams and design vendors, and ensuring safe, timely implementation with cost-conscious material usage.

The position requires a STEM degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and comfort working with permitting authorities and engineering software.

Qualifications

• College Degree - Technical 4-year degree in STEM or related field.
• 2+ years of applicable professional-level technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, analysis, design and engineering of outside plant network structures.
• Organize activities for development, construction, implementation and maintenance of projects.
• Communicate with city, county and state permitting agencies.
• Identify pole ownership, right-of-way and permit requirements.
