The position emphasizes hands-on field work (about 70%) with some office duties, requiring strong communication, teamwork, and travel readiness to meet project needs across markets.

Qualifications

• Strong and effective technical communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Self-starter, able to work with little guidance and independently.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate across groups.
• Ability to analyze problems and make decisions.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Engineer/design outside plant facilities including fiber and copper.
• Assist in planning, analysis, design and engineering of outside plant networks.
• Organize complex activities for development, construction, and maintenance projects.
• Use engineering practices to resolve issues creatively and effectively.
• Communicate to build positive working relationships and drive projects to completion.
• Design projects for cost-effective use of materials and labor.
• Perform administrative work related to projects and assignments.
• Assess situations, identify issues, and solve complex problems.
• Work approximately 70% in the field and 30% in the office (varies by market).
