Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to handle application engineering for local telecom outside plant. You will design, count, and record cable data while coordinating with Network Planning, Central Office, Transmission and Operations to support growth, replacements and upgrades.

The role requires a HS diploma and a Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent, with 3+ years’ outside plant experience and knowledge of ROW/easement permitting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in an outside plant position.
• Experience in ROW, private easement and permitting with local, state, and federal entities.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
• Must complete a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Engineering design for outside plant projects locally.
• Support Build projects and coordinate with teams.
• Coordinate with utilities for joint trench and project design.
• Maintain and update cable records and permits.
