Job summary

Hayward Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in Campbell, CA. This role focuses on building relationships to drive sales of lumber and building materials, with frequent customer site visits and bid/tender work.

The position offers a draw plus commission structure and reports to the Area Sales Manager. Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of sales experience, knowledge of building materials, and strong skills in communication and negotiation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sales experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lumber/building materials and local codes is a plus.
• Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills must be demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with existing and potential customers through personal and phone contact and manage bids and quotes.
• Proactively maintain sales and order pipelines in BisTrack.
• Prepare and present accurate proposals and quotes to customers.
• Maximize sales in the defined market area and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate deliveries and site visits to support project progress.
• Provide timely, knowledgeable, courteous service and maintain product knowledge.
