Job summary

Sysco North Texas (Division of USA I) is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant for the Grapevine/DFW area. You will promote Sysco products, build relationships with new and existing accounts, and drive sales growth while meeting company objectives.

Some non-traditional hours may be required to serve customer needs. You will develop prospecting plans, review market trends, and deliver product information and training to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of relevant experience (Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales).
• Bi-lingual abilities are preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance as stipulated by Sysco requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts; minimize lost business within the assigned territory.
• Qualify prospects following company account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and tailor a mix of products and services to meet those needs.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on business goals.
• Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitor offerings.
• Provide product information and practical training to customers.
• Drive personal vehicle to accounts, meetings, and events; handle deliveries as needed.
• Assist with training of new employees and participate in sales meetings.
• Maintain sales budgets and performance reports; process credits and quotes.
