FIS is seeking an Outside Counsel Analyst Lead to partner with senior executives and Legal leadership, delivering data-driven insights for optimizing legal spend and panel management. You will manage e-billing, matter workflows, and financial reporting within a Fortune 500 tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business, or analytics.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in legal operations, outside counsel management, or related corporate legal operations.
• Hands-on experience with e-billing and matter management tools (Brightflag preferred).
• Experience managing outside counsel programs, billing guidelines, and vendor performance.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage the end-to-end outside counsel program, including panel governance, engagement processes, and reporting.
• Coordinate with outside firms on openings, billing guidelines, rate management, and relationships.
• Provide actionable insights on utilization, budgets, and legal spend trends to executives.
• Administer Brightflag as the primary e-billing and matter management platform and drive process improvements.
• Lead invoice review, accruals, forecasting, and financial reporting for legal spend.
• Analyze spend data, matter activity, and panel performance to identify trends and savings opportunities.
• Prepare executive-level dashboards and recommendations for data-driven decisions in legal operations.
