Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center’s University Behavioral Associates (UBA) is seeking an Outreach Specialist for the HERO Dads program in the Bronx. The role focuses on recruiting, engaging, and enrolling fathers, co-parents, and couples through in‑person and digital channels.

You will develop partnerships with community organizations, coordinate enrollment targets with the program team, and provide resources to participants while balancing outreach with enrollment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and cross‑cultural engagement abilities.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment when assessing participant needs.
• Comfort working with individuals facing multiple barriers (housing instability, employment challenges, justice involvement).
• Experience using Facebook/Instagram for outreach or recruitment preferred.
• Familiarity with CRM/data management systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct community outreach and recruitment to identify and engage HERO Dads participants across Bronx communities.
• Manage digital outreach and respond to inquiries via social media; convert leads to intake appointments.
• Develop and sustain referral relationships with community partners and represent HERO Dads at events.
• Follow up with prospective participants to complete intake and enrollment.
• Provide resources and referrals as participants progress through services.
• Document outreach activities and enrollment data in program databases and generate reports.
