Job summary

The City of Lake Oswego Library seeks a Lead Library Assistant - Outreach Services to lead the Outreach team within the Circulation division. The role oversees bookmobile and 24/7 holds locker services, trains staff, schedules events, and builds community partnerships while planning for future expansion.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organization, effective communication, and a collaborative leadership style, with a commitment to providing access for all.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with four years of relevant experience in library operations.
• College level coursework in library science and/or experience delivering library outreach services is desirable.
• Must possess valid drivers license and ability to meet driving standards; city-owned vehicle may be used.

Responsibilities

• Manages a centralized outreach schedule and coordinates events, collections and programs with staff across divisions.
• Attends and participates in outreach events, including driving outreach vehicles and maintaining program equipment and supplies.
• Collaborates with partners and community groups to plan, promote and execute outreach events.
• Coordinates outreach committee work at the Library and at LINCC level.
• Monitors outreach budget and provides training and support for outreach staff.
• Develops, prepares and presents evaluations of outreach services and data for future planning.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature within the library operations.
