Job summary

OC Public Libraries seeks a Librarian II to lead day-to-day branch operations, supervise staff, and drive collection development and community engagement. You will plan programs, manage public relations, and build partnerships with Friends groups and local stakeholders to serve community needs.

As part of systemwide planning, you will set goals with Library Administration, use data to evaluate services, and ensure safe, welcoming library spaces. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional librarian experience supervising staff.
• Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
• Strong community engagement and public relations skills.
• Ability to manage branch budget and expenditures.

• Manage and direct a branch library's operations.
