Atlantic Health CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Outreach Phlebotomist for the Day Shift. The role covers patient service centers across Monmouth and Ocean counties, with travel required and driving in inclement weather.

Responsibilities include collecting blood from all ages, labeling specimens, and processing orders; strong customer service and accurate charting are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years' experience as ASCP-certified phlebotomy technician preferred.
• Certification preferred.
• Proficient computer skills for patient registration and lab orders.
• Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from a wide age range via venipuncture, capillary fingerstick, or heelstick.
• Label tubes with initials, date and time, and prepare specimens for shipment to the testing lab.
• Interpret physician orders and perform computer order entry accurately.
• Properly instruct patients in specimen collection and fasting requirements.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and register patients.
• Travel to Monmouth and Ocean counties using own vehicle or hospital vehicle.
• Open and close facilities as required.
