Job summary

ReNew Life Recovery Services in Danville, VA is seeking an energetic Outreach Coordinator to expand awareness of behavioral health services and connect individuals and referral sources with care. This field-based role focuses on networking, developing partnerships, attending community events, and coordinating with intake to support smooth referrals.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of related experience, strong communication, organization, and a valid driver’s license to travel across Danville

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Comfortable initiating professional conversations and developing new relationships.
• Strong organization, follow-up, and time-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage a field-based outreach schedule.
• Professional, dependable, and comfortable representing the organization in the community.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events when needed.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with hospitals, physicians, treatment providers, social service agencies, shelters, recovery organizations, and community groups
• Conduct regular community outreach and relationship-building visits
• Educate referral sources and community partners about ReNew Life Recovery Services
• Identify new referral opportunities and develop community partnerships
• Attend resource fairs, networking events, community meetings, and outreach activities
• Follow up consistently with existing and prospective referral partners
• Help individuals and families understand available behavioral health and substance use resources
• Coordinate with intake staff to support smooth referral transitions
• Track outreach contacts, referrals, follow-ups, and outcomes
• Maintain an organized outreach calendar and contact database
• Assist with presentations, outreach materials, and community education
• Provide leadership with feedback on community needs and referral trends

ReNew Life Recovery Services is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Outreach Coordinator to help expand awareness of our behavioral health and substance use services throughout Danville and surrounding communities.

This is a field-focused role for someone who enjoys networking, developing partnerships, attending community events, and connecting individuals and referral sources with meaningful services.

What You Will Do

• Build relationships with hospitals, physicians, treatment providers, social service agencies, shelters, recovery organizations, and community groups

We Would Especially Like to Meet You If You Have

• Behavioral health or substance use outreach experience
• Existing relationships within Danville or Southside Virginia
• Healthcare referral development experience
• Experience working with hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, criminal justice partners, or recovery organizations
• Knowledge of local behavioral health and substance use resources
• Community engagement or event-planning experience
• Experience with outreach tracking or CRM systems
• Virginia Medicaid or behavioral health experience

Compensation

$25-$30 per hour

Compensation will be based on outreach experience, behavioral health or healthcare background, community relationships, and overall qualifications.
