Urban Health Plan in the Bronx seeks an Outreach and Enrollment Associate to support families navigating health insurance enrollment and post-enrollment needs under MCCAP. You will assist with NYSOH, Access NY, and Medicare enrollments, provide guidance on coverage options, and connect clients to social supports.

This is a full-time role requiring a high school diploma, bilingual English/Spanish, data entry skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• 1-2 years of admin support in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals and families to apply for health insurance enrollment and post enrollment assistance.
• Conduct outreach events and presentations to promote MCCAP services.
• Assist individuals with enrollment through NYSOH, Access NY, and Medicare.
• Educate consumers about insurance rights and responsibilities and explain plan documents.
• Assist consumers address social support and other healthcare needs.
• Collect MCCAP client and outreach data.
• Facilitate in-person presentations to educate consumers on enrollment and post enrollment services; follow up with clients.

Position Summary:The Outreach and Enrollment Associate is responsible for supporting consumers with the Managed Care Consumer Assistance Program (MCCAP). The Outreach & Enrollment Specialist will assist individuals and families in navigating the healthcare system by providing direct support with health insurance enrollment, coverage navigation, access-to-care guidance, social support referrals and post enrollment needs.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Bilingual English/Spanish is required. 1-2 years of previous experience with administrative support in healthcare. General understanding of Affordable Care Act. Strong attention to detail. Experience with data entry. Team player and someone who is responsible and professional is necessary.

The position is stationed in the Bronx Health Information Place, but incumbents must be comfortable with visiting other Urban Health Plan locations as needed.
