Urban Health Plan is seeking a bilingual Call Center Associate I to support our Bronx-based health centers. This entry-level role requires English/Spanish proficiency, strong customer service, and computer skills. Remote-friendly with periodic on-site trainings in the Bronx for meetings.

You will handle high-volume calls, schedule appointments, relay messages, and protect patient privacy in line with HIPAA/PHI. Training provided; opportunity to grow within a community-focused health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Answers high volume telephone calls, schedules medical appointments, and relays messages according to the organization communication standards.
• Responds to and resolves patient requests/concerns.
• Refers clinical questions to medical providers.
• Ensures confidentiality at all times in compliance with HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
• Update existing patient demographic information.
• Confirms insurance when necessary.
• Completes rescheduling, canceling, and/or verifying patient's appointments as needed.
• Exhibits "WE CARE" performance standards in accordance with Urban Health Plan's Operating Credo.

Position Summary: The Call Center Associate I will join our Bronx-Based call center team in order to support the operations of our various health centers. The incumbent must have the drive and ambition to work effectively in a fast paced and service-driven team. We are seeking customer service professionals with a passion for community based health care. Although remote, position requires some monthly onsite needs including training and meetings that are held in the Bronx- with this in mind, applicants must reside locally to the New York City market. While company equipment will be furnished- incumbents must possess a desk space and area from home that is suitable for work without distractions and a desk that is able to securely fit dual monitor screens/computer/other hardware.

Starting Compensation: Minimum $18.00 Maximum $18.00/hour ($37,440/annum).

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule: Remote, Bronx, NY, The schedules for this position is: Monday to Friday 10:00 am- 7:00 pm with rotating Saturday shifts 8:00 am- 5:00 pm.
