Job summary

Human Learning Systems is seeking an Outreach and Admissions Counselor for the Quentin Burdick Job Corps Center in Bismarck, ND. The role focuses on outreach, admissions, and program support within a federally funded Job Corps context.

The candidate will recruit eligible youth, maintain contact with applicants, develop career plans, and participate in outreach events, including evenings and weekends as necessary. A bachelor’s or related associate degree with experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or a closely related field is required.
• An Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field with two years of related experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Educate and partner with individuals, communities, schools, and community organizations to promote referrals and services.
• Maintain eligibility and enrollment records in required databases and ensure compliance with policy handbooks.
• Conduct campus tours and represent the Job Corps Center at community events and schools.
• Assist applicants in developing career and employability plans using the Personal Career Development Plan (PCDP).
• Provide placement support and coaching for graduates on job search strategies.
