Job summary

Lifeskills Connection is seeking an Admissions Counselor in Omaha to conduct outreach, screen candidates, and manage admissions processes in line with government directives. The role involves interviewing prospects, preparing candidate documentation, and orienting applicants about Job Corps and center expectations.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or associate’s with relevant experience), strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience in outreach/admissions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach activities with public service agencies, schools, and organizations to recruit eligible Job Corps candidates.
• Interview interested candidates and collect pertinent information.
• Prepare and review documentation on potential students with center staff.
• Provide orientation and describe Job Corps, center expectations, and arrange tours when possible.
• Maintain monthly recruitment goals and record outreach contacts within 24 hours.
