Job summary

GBX Consultants, Inc. is seeking a full-time OA/CTS Counselor to be located on-site at a Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center.

The counselor will lead applicant recruitment, intake processing, and transition services to help graduates secure employment, military enlistment or further education. The role emphasizes building partnerships with community agencies and employers, coordinating campus tours, maintaining caseloads, and providing individualized case management to guide students toward

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Associate’s degree with two years related experience and the Job Corps outreach experience is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attracts and enrolls eligible at-risk youth.
• Conducts comprehensive screening to determine eligibility for Job Corps enrollment.
• Develops partnerships with community agencies and local businesses for referrals.
• Manages caseloads with bi-weekly or monthly contact and documents in case notes.
• Provides individualized case management to support transition to employment, military, or education.
