Responsible for the supervision of the Outreach and Admissions Specialists team. Ensures that contract performance meets or exceed US Department of Labor (DOL) and corporate OA performance goals. Ensures that contract follows DOL and corporate regulations and requirements.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Above average public speaking skills and experience in same; above average verbal and written skills; above average problem solving and conflict resolution skills; computer literacy specifically Internet, Email, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; ability to work evening hours and periodic weekends; ability to travel periodically. This is a salaried position and overtime, and comp time is not provided.
Two years supervisory experience in Job Corps preferred or minimum 2 years working with disadvantaged youth. Experience providing supervision in a fast-paced performance-based environment preferred. Previous experience in providing group or individual counseling on all phases of career management. Knowledge of skills necessary to establish liaisons and interact with private and public agencies.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Social Science, Business, Communications, or closely related field, and 2 years related supervisory experience preferred.
Associate Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Social Science, Business, Communications, or closely related field, and 2 years related supervisory experience preferred.
Experience may include successful OA experience with other youth program
Valid driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance coverage.
