Job summary

Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a licensed sonographer with expertise in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound to join our multidisciplinary team. You will perform a range of cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams, collaborate closely with cardiologists, and contribute to high-quality patient care across multiple sites.

Requires at least one year of experience and ARDMS/CCI credentials or active trainee status with BLS certification.

Qualifications

Meets ARDMS/CCI guidelines for fetal echocardiography or related credentials.
Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
Minimum of 1 year of echocardiology or vascular sonography experience.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency in routine noninvasive and invasive cardiology/vascular ultrasound diagnostics.
Works with cardiologist to perform exams and maintain equipment.
Accurate documentation and patient identification.
Ensure quality control standards and safety protocols are followed.
Supervise student sonographers and orient new staff; participate in workflow and safety initiatives.
May work afterhours or on-call as needed.
Assist with contrast administration if pertinent to department.
