Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. seeks an experienced sonographer to provide diagnostic cardiology and vascular imaging under supervision. You will obtain high-quality images, document findings, and assist with procedures as needed.

The role requires performing routine echocardiography and vascular exams, maintaining credentialing, and collaborating with cardiology while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Training and supervising junior staff may also be involved.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of sonography (ARDMS/CCI guidelines).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in sonography.
• Ability to perform routine echocardiology and vascular exams including 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler.
• Must demonstrate competency in at least five listed ECHO/Vascular exams.
• Maintain current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
• Must maintain ARDMS/CCI credentials within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in routine noninvasive and/or invasive cardiology and/or vascular ultrasound diagnostics.
• Works with cardiologist to perform exams and may function independently when needed.
• Maintains proper documentation, patient identification, and image quality.
• Ensures safety, quality control, and compliance with policies.
• Supervises student sonographers and assists with workflow and training.
