Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a qualified sonographer to perform diagnostic cardiology and vascular ultrasound imaging under supervision, delivering high-quality images and accurate documentation.

The role requires ARDMS/CCI eligibility, BLS certification, and at least one year of experience; you will assist in patient preparation, equipment setup, and collaboration with cardiologists to ensure optimal patient care across sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of sonography.
• Meets education/training requirements under ARDMS/CCI guidelines as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in routine noninvasive and/or invasive cardiology and/or vascular ultrasound diagnostics, and equipment operation and maintenance.
• Solves complex problems and exercises judgment based on multiple information sources.
• Recognizes normal and abnormal anatomy and documents pertinent clinical information.
• Works with the cardiologist to perform noninvasive and/or invasive exams and can function independently when supervisor is not present.
• Delivers appropriate care while ensuring successful completion of procedures and adhering to safety standards.
• Maintains accurate documentation and records verbal/telephone orders from physicians.
• Supervises students/trainees and assists in training and orientation of new sonographers.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies.
