Position Details

• Salary Range: $85,000 - $143,000 annually
• Up to $15,000 SOB
• Day shifts

Position Summary

Performs routine and some special procedure imaging, diagnostic, and medical sonograms. Prepares patients for procedures, assists Radiologists when needed, and maintains equipment. Develops and processes films as required. Adheres to established radiology standards of care, maintains continuing education, and assumes responsibility for assigned duties. Provides patient care and ensures quality assurance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients correctly for examinations, observing specific requirements for each protocol.
• Produces high-quality images and assists physicians during procedures.
• Performs equipment quality assurance, calibrations, and orders supplies.
• Works in emergency procedures and may be required to be on-call at Armonk Urgi-Center or other outpatient sites, including holidays and overnight shifts.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas and reports equipment malfunctions.
• Processes CDs or prints images as needed and communicates findings to physicians.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Completion of a certified ultrasound program or holding a Limited Permit/certificate.
• ARDMS eligibility after 1 year from graduation with 1000 clinical hours, or equivalent certifications (ARRT (S) or RT (VS)).
• Experience preferred.
• Must meet continuing education requirements to maintain certification.
• BLS certification through the AHA is required or must be completed within 90 days of hire.
