Ultrasound Technologist - Outpatient

• Salary Range: $85,000 - $143,000 annually
• Up to $15,000 SOB
• Day shifts

Position Summary

Performs routine and specialized imaging procedures, diagnostic and medical sonograms. Prepares patients, assists radiologists, operates and maintains equipment, develops films, and adheres to radiology standards. Continually updates skills through education, assumes responsibility for assigned duties, and provides patient care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients correctly, ensuring proper documentation.
• Produces quality images and assists physicians during procedures.
• Performs equipment quality assurance and calibration, manages supplies.
• Works in emergency situations, on-call, and at various outpatient sites, including holidays and overtime.
• Maintains cleanliness and reports malfunctions.
• Processes images and communicates findings with radiologists and physicians.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Completion of a certified ultrasound program or equivalent certification.
• ARDMS eligibility within 1 year of graduation with 1000 clinical hours, or ARRT (S) / RT (VS).
• Experience preferred.
• Must meet continuing education requirements.
• BLS certification through AHA required within 90 days of hire.
