Job summary

Step Up Family Services LLC is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to provide behavioral health counseling to a diverse caseload via virtual and office-based care in Parsippany, NJ and Brick, NJ. The role supports flexible scheduling with daytime, evenings, and weekend opportunities, and reports to Clinical Leadership.

The position offers W-2 employment with per diem, part-time, or full-time options and compensation of $40-$70 per hour plus bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• Minimum of one year of mental health experience.
• Experience providing behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and/or families.
• Experience with children and adolescents is preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and other outpatient behavioral health counseling services according to each client's treatment plan.
• Assess behavioral health needs and develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans.
• Complete required clinical documentation including progress notes and treatment records.
• Collaborate with clients, families, referral sources, and treatment team to support continuity of care.
• Maintain professional boundaries and comply with ethical, licensing, and regulatory requirements.

Education

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another behavioral health discipline appropriate to the clinician's license
