Responsibilities

1. Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization.
2. Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and support surgeons effectively.
3. Adapt to the needs of emergency situations.
4. Provide clean-up and turnover of the operating room to prepare for the next patient.
5. Must be able to rotate call and report within 30 minutes if called for a procedure.

Qualifications

1. Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or an approved surgical technology program (one or two-year program).
2. Certified Surgical Technician, preferred but not required.
3. BLS Certification required.
4. Must be able to rotate call and report within 30 minutes if called for a procedure.
