Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking an OR Manager to oversee the operation and administration of the Service Specialty. The role includes managing clinical systems, human resources, finances and the work environment in a fast-paced OR setting.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing school with Alabama or multistate license, BLS and ACLS within provisional periods, and a preference for a BSN. Supervisory experience in an operating room is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Education required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Education preferred: BSN preferred.
• License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or multistate nursing license required.
• BLS certification required (must be completed within the Provisionary Period).
• ACLS certification required (must be completed within the provisional period). PALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for OR Manager for the operation and administration of the Service Specialty, including effective management of clinical systems, human resources, finances and the work environment.
• Promotes multi-disciplinary collaborative practice with physicians and other departments, performs in-depth patient needs, develops and monitors patient care standards.
