Huntsville Memorial Hospital seeks an experienced OR RN to join the surgical team. Under general supervision, you will use the nursing process to assess and plan care for patients preparing for, undergoing, or recovering from surgical procedures.

Requirements include graduate of a professional nursing program, Texas RN licensure (BLS within 30 days), and CNOR preferred. Perioperative experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing.
• Experience: One year of recent perioperative nursing experience preferred.
• License/Certification: Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse required; Basic Life Support within 30 days; CNOR certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, provide, document and evaluate care.
• Assessment: Conducts ongoing and systematic data collection to establish nursing diagnoses and outcomes.
• Coordinates and plans delivery of nursing care with a multidisciplinary team and administers appropriate clinical decisions.
• Delivers appropriate care to patients, implementing interventions in the Plan of Care.
• Evaluates progress toward outcomes and communicates with physicians and team members.
• Provides patient/family teaching based on patient needs and plans to meet them.
• Administers and reconciles medications appropriately.
• Adheres to infection prevention protocols.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and PHI handling.
• Participates in program evaluation and continuous improvement.

Formation

Graduate of a school of professional nursing

Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse

CNOR certification preferred
