Qualifications

• Minimum one year of outpatient surgery experience.
• Experience with computer software required.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Orthopedics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team during operative procedures as assigned by the RN or physician.
• Plan and set up supplies needed for the procedure.
• Hand instruments to the surgeon and perform tasks as directed.
• Maintain patient safety through sterile technique throughout the procedure.
• Sterilize equipment and supplies daily.
• Maintain patient records and stock supplies; report repairs to RN.
• Uphold universal precautions in daily duties.
• Sterilize and clean procedure rooms.
• Respect patient confidentiality.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings.
