UVA Health in Culpeper, VA is seeking a Nurse Extern for 8 weeks, primarily Mon-Fri, June–August 2027. You will work under the supervision of an RN in inpatient or outpatient settings, assisting with basic nursing tasks and patient care to support optimal recovery.

Currently enrolled nursing students who graduate 2025–2027 are eligible. This non-exempt role offers full-time hours on a 40-hour workweek following orientation at UVA Community Health locations in the Culpeper area.

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled nursing students who graduate December 2025–May 2027.
• BSN students who have completed their 3rd year; ASN students who have completed their 1st year.

Aufgaben

• Performs a variety of patient care and administrative support functions under the supervision of a UVA Community Health Registered Nurse (RN) in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
• Assists patients with personal care as needed for optimal recovery during hospitalization.
• Performs basic nursing skills as delegated by an RN and in accordance with policy and procedures to promote patient health and wellness.
• Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
• Maintains necessary skills and competencies.
