UVA Health is seeking a nursing student entering their final year to join the Nurse Extern program at UVA Community Health. The role supports patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and runs across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Commitment includes 36–40 hours weekly with three 12-hour shifts, following orientation. Open to BSN or ASN students graduating December 2027–May 2028, with compensation at $17.28 per hour.

Formación

• Currently enrolled nursing students who will graduate December 2027–May 2028.
• Students may remain employed as a Nurse Extern until graduation.
• Following graduation they will need to apply for open positions.

Responsabilidades

• Performs patient care and administrative tasks under RN supervision in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Assists patients with personal care and maintains safety and care standards.
• Supports the nursing team with duties to ensure quality patient experiences.
