Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Coder II to code outpatient procedures, interventional radiology and observation accounts. You will review electronic records to assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and APC codes, and enter related charges while ensuring regulatory compliance and proper modifier use.

Requirements include AHIMA coding credentials and 2+ years in acute care outpatient settings; RHIT/CCS certification is required. This role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and knowledge of CMS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two years coding experience in an acute care facility outpatient surgery department, a stand alone ambulatory surgery center, or emergency/urgent care center.
• Experience using ICD-10-CM, CPT coding, and APC grouper.
• Ability to enter charges for Observation hours and related accounts following regulatory guidelines.
• Current RHIT or CCS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Code outpatient, interventional radiology, cardiology, and observation procedures.
• Review patient records to assign accurate CMS, CPT, and ICD codes.
• Enter charges for Observation, infusion, injections, and bedside procedures.
• Ensure modifier use is correct and compliant with policies.
