Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield seeks an experienced RN for Outpatient Surgery at Springfield Regional Medical Center on a PRN basis. This role delivers exceptional nursing care,Assess patient status, support the surgical team and ensure a safe perioperative environment.

Required: Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing, current RN licensure, BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred with potential 6-month requirements. CNOR and SGNA are preferred qualifications. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS required; ACLS or PALS preferred; may be required within 6 months depending on dept.
• CNOR and SGNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and support a safe environment for the patient.
• Coordinate nursing care in OR with the surgical team and other providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care including discharge instructions.
