Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse for OPS Mid Shift (1200-2030 as needed). The role focuses on pre/post anesthesia and general perioperative care, with a team-based approach across OPS areas.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Texas RN license or compact license is required/eligible.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience.
• BSN degree required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• CPAN/CAPA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement or delegate, plan and evaluate total nursing care.
• Provide and direct patient care for a group of patients.
• Coordinate with other shifts/departments for continuity of care.

Education

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

Valid Texas RN License/Compact License

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

1 year acute care experience

BSN required or obtain within 3 years of hire

CPAN/CAPA certification preferred
