Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7pm-7am) to assess, plan, implement and evaluate total nursing care for a group of patients.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS certification, and BSN within 3 years; acute care experience is preferred. The team collaborates across shifts to ensure continuity of care, and benefits include comprehensive health plans and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas or eligible for the compact license.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
• BSN degree or plan to obtain within 3 years of hire.
• Med-surg certification is preferred and encouraged.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement or delegate, plan, and evaluate total nursing care.
• Provide and direct patient care for a group of patients with appropriate coordination.
• Relate effectively with other shifts/departments for continuity of care.

Education

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

Texas RN License / Compact License

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

BSN or plan to obtain within 3 years of hire
