Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, TX seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Outpatient Surgery (OPS) Mid Shift 1200-2030 as needed. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and delivering patient care, with pre-operative and post-anesthesia support and collaboration with the peri-anesthesia team.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, Texas RN license/compact, BLS, and 1 year of acute care experience; BSN preferred and CPAN/CPAP preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with active Texas RN license or compact license.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• BSN preferred or obtained within 3 years of hire; CPAN/CPAP preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in an OPS environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement or delegate, plans and evaluate total nursing care for a patient group.
• Coordinate with shifts/departments to ensure continuity of care.
• Support pre-operative and post-operative care and discharge planning.
