Job summary

BAART Programs, a BayMark Health Services company, seeks a compassionate Substance Use Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatments and coping strategies in an outpatient clinic setting. You will conduct individual and group sessions, complete assessments, and help develop treatment and aftercare plans.

California certification and a clear background check are required; salary is hourly with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified Counselor in California.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals preferred.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours; coordinate services across treatment
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
