BAART Programs in California is seeking a compassionate, certified Substance Use Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatments and counseling. The role conducts individual and group sessions, collaborates with medical staff, and helps patients achieve long-term recovery in an outpatient clinic setting.

The ideal candidate is California-certified, with experience with chemically dependent individuals, and able to pass drug screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified counselor in California.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
• Completes bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor
