Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide patient evaluation and care planning for speech-language pathology, delivering care aligned with age-specific needs and population requirements. The role also includes clinical leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities include assessing patients at admission, developing care plans, documenting progress, and mentoring teammates in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• NC license for Speech Language Pathology required.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient’s medical, mental and emotional needs at admission and on-going basis.
• Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient and family needs, including discharge planning and resource utilization.
• Acts as patient advocate; treats patients and families with compassion and implements plan of care safely and timely.
• Demonstrates clinical reasoning and skills to conduct accurate assessments and treatments; evaluates intervention effectiveness.
• Communicates patient information and documents therapist’s actions and plan of care; provides clinical leadership and mentoring.
