Job summary

Advocate Health, a facility of Atrium Health, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for outpatient rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC. The role emphasizes evaluation and treatment of patients with neurological conditions in an interdisciplinary setting. This part-time position is not eligible for a clinical fellowship.

The incumbent will work under a collaborative team model to maximize patient independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Applicable state license for Speech Language Pathology required.
• BLS certification required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises rehab technicians, SLP students and volunteers involved in patient care.
• Evaluates patients and creates care plans including modalities, procedures, and education.
• Gathers data from medical records, physician reports, patients and families and uses it to guide care.
• Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, discharge notes and charges.
• Re-evaluates patients and adjusts goals as status changes.
• Communicates evaluation results and coordinates scheduling, treatment and discharge planning.
