Job summary

Riverwoods Behavioral Health is seeking a Director of Outpatient Services to lead and expand our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in the Greater Atlanta area. This role drives clinical excellence, growth, and access to high-quality mental health services for the community.

The Director will oversee operations, develop referrals, and ensure regulatory compliance while building a strong leadership team and partnerships across the healthcare continuum.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field.
• Active, unrestricted clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare.
• At least 2 years of leadership, management, or operational oversight experience.
• Experience overseeing PHP and/or IOP programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for day-to-day operations of PHP and IOP programs.
• Drive census growth, patient retention, financial performance, and clinical quality metrics.
• Develop referral relationships and support business development and admissions growth.
• Collaborate with hospital, divisional, and corporate leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team with hiring and onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensure, accreditation, and quality standards.
• Monitor program performance and implement process improvements using outcome data.
• Maintain clinical documentation, policies, and service delivery standards.
