Job summary

Riverwoods Behavioral Health in Riverdale, GA is seeking a Director of Outpatient Services to lead and expand its PHP and IOP programs. This role focuses on strategic direction, clinical excellence, operational performance, and growth, while building partnerships in the Greater Atlanta community.

The Director will oversee operations, referral development, census growth, patient outcomes, and regulatory compliance, reporting to the leadership team and shaping the outpatient service line for the

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field.
• Active, unrestricted clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare.
• At least 2 years of leadership, management, or operational oversight experience.
• Experience overseeing PHP and/or IOP programs strongly preferred.
• Experience in acute psychiatric hospitals, behavioral health facilities, and/or residential substance use disorder treatment settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for day-to-day operations, clinical excellence, and growth of PHP and IOP programs.
• Drive census growth, patient retention, financial performance, patient satisfaction, and clinical quality metrics.
• Develop and maintain referral relationships and support business development and admissions growth.
• Collaborate with hospital, divisional, and corporate leadership to expand outpatient services.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensure, accreditation, and quality standards (Joint Commission, CMS, state).
• Monitor program performance and use patient outcomes data to optimize care and operations.
• Maintain clinical documentation, policies, and service delivery standards.
