Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state RN licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for dialysis patients.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to direct care staff under supervision.
• Document and communicate patient data and plan of care with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Provide patient and family education on treatment and modality options.
• Assist with hemodialysis treatment and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Participate in CAP requirements to advance within the program.
