About this role:

As a Dialysis Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) with Fresenius Medical Care, you will be part of a close-knit, collaborative team responsible for delivering care plans and providing dialysis treatment to patients with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease. Our clinic RNs build strong bonds and lasting relationships with patients, their families, and care team members.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and facility operations.
  2. Coordinate patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for hemodialysis patients, delegating tasks as appropriate.
  3. Analyze patient data during visits, document findings, and modify treatment plans as needed.
  4. Provide education to patients and families, administer medications, and assist with emergency responses.
  5. Ensure proper laboratory procedures, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and inform patients about treatment options.
  6. Complete CAP requirements and make referrals to social workers and dietitians.
Education and Licensure:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current state nursing license.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Meet state practice requirements.
Experience and Skills:
  • Traits: compassion, support, collaboration, reliability.
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred).
  • Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).
  • Pass the Ishihara Color Blind Test.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Heavy lifting, patient mobility, prolonged standing, and bending.
  • Potential exposure to infectious materials.
  • Work includes desk, computer, patient, staff, and physician interactions.
  • Travel may be required.
