Job summary
Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI) is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for the St. Joseph - Sheridan location. The role involves carrying out PT plans, providing outpatient orthopedic care, and documenting patient status under supervision. You will collaborate with PTs and physicians and may supervise rehab technicians.

Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Holds current license to practice in Illinois.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes.
- Proficient with computers for lengthy documentation.
Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the physical therapist.
- Provide exceptional care in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
- Document patient status per IBJI Rehab guidelines.
- Communicate progress notes and discharges to supervising PT and physicians.
- Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians and assist staff as needed.
- Maintain active licensure by CEUs and IBJI-sponsored education.
- Develop positive relationships with PTs and physician teams.
- Participate in IBJI-sponsored programs and community outreach.
