Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI) seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant for our Lake Bluff location. The role includes outpatient orthopedic care, collaboration with PTs and physicians, and a three-month ramp-up period to full caseload.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PTA program.
• Current Illinois PTA license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to lift over 25 pounds.
• Demonstrates good body mechanics for lifting, pulling, and pushing.
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
• Proficient use of a computer during the work day.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the physical therapist, progressing patient toward functional goals.
• Provide exceptional care in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Document patient status per IBJI Rehab guidelines.
• Communicate progress to physicians through progress notes and discharges.
• Supervise rehabilitation technicians and administrative staff as needed.
• Maintain daily paperwork including treatment notes, progress notes, and discharges.
• Maintain active state license by earning CEUs through IBJI opportunities.
• Develop positive relationships with PTs and physician teams at IBJI.
• Participate in IBJI programs including mentoring and community outreach.
