Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for our Lake Bluff location. This full-time outpatient role focuses on implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a physical therapist to help patients recover from orthopedic injuries and conditions.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program, Illinois licensure, CPR certification, and the ability to lift 25+ pounds.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Holds current license to practice in Illinois.
• CPR certification currently active.
• Ability to work in a fast paced clinical environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds and assist with patient handling.
• Proficiency with computers for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carries out treatment plans established by the physical therapist and advances patient progression.
• Provide exceptional care in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Document patient status per IBJI Rehab guidelines.
• Communicate with supervising PT regarding assessment, plan, and discharge.
• Supervise rehabilitation technicians and staff as needed.
• Maintain licensing through CEUs and IBJI sponsored opportunities.
